Celastrina argiolus (?????)Image via WikipediaWay back in late 50s and 60s I spent a lot of time during the spring, summer and fall chasing butterflies. It still brings a smile to my face when I think about running around the fields on our farm trying to catch them.

Now I’m in my 50s and don’t spend much energy chasing butterflies but I still love to sit and watch them flutter from flower to flower in our backyard garden. I want to see more butterflies and varieties.

My wife has a good friend that has an awesome garden. It goes way beyond the norm. I plan to pick her brain about what flower attract what butterflies and then I will plant those flowers around my yard.

We see a lot of Monarch butterflies, their beautiful but I want to see many varieties. If I get enough I may start a section just on butterflies.

I would appreciate you taking the time to comment and let me know what you do to attract butterflies to your garden.
