the fruit of his labor

Spring is here, Summer is coming.  Now we welcome  chirping birds, picnics, and strawberries!  Strawberries are an all time favorite sweet fruit, and it’s so easy to grow your own delicious red fruit right in your backyard.  There are so many strawberry pots you can shop from, so the days of rabbits taking over your hard work are done.

Strawberry planters give a large number of conveniences for gardeners, they also supply ease for the not-so-green thumb.  A gardening strawberry planter comes in many different shapes and sizes, all the from terra cotta strawberry planters, to hanging strawberry planters (the Topsy Turvy strawberry planter is an excellent example of this) so it’s important to watch these ideas before buying just any old strawberry planter.

Terra Cotta Strawberry Jar Planter – 1 Gallon

Terra Cotta Strawberry Jar Planter - 1 GallonWhen finding the strawberry planter that will fit your needs, you must make sure the planter will fit in the space you have designated for it.  You will be unhappy if you buy a strawberry planter that does not fit in your desired destination.  Before buying a planter, decide what size will suit your needs, and where your planter will “live”.  An example of a small and petite planter is the eggling, and could be kept just outside your patio, or the a larger example would be the strawberry barrel, and could be kept within the boundaries of your garden.

Beside size, you can also chose from colors and shapes.  Of course, if you are looking for a terra cotta strawberry planter, your choices are kind of limited in the color arena, but you may have a bit more leverage in the shape arena.  The playful birds planter is green ceramic, and shapped like an hour glass, and the Topsy Turvy strawberry planter is only a hanging strawberry planter that provides not as much style, but incredible convenience.

The most important key about chosing a strawberry planter is making sure it performs it’s job effectively- and that is to keep the strawberries off of the ground and away from bugs and other animals that will reek havoc on your sweet treats.
