Jenny - James - Stephen

Hey GardenMann here. Jenny and I have been married for 30 years come April 2012. Three years later we had our bundle of joy Stephen join or family. That the three of us on the right.

It was really cool to learn the each of us has wanted to be gardeners since we were just kids. She grew up in Campbellton, New Brunswick while I was growing up on a farm in central Ontario.

We had a huge vegetable garden that I am sure was as big as our entire property. Jenny’s parents had a little garden that was mostly flowers, so I grew up wanting my own vegetable garden and Jenny wanted to grow, well she wanted to only grow Petunias. How cute is that?

It was a long long time before we had the property to have a real garden, although we grew a few container gardens over the years. Mostly tomatoes.

Since buying our own home we have started gardening both flowers and vegetables, even a few trees and shrubs. We have only just begun and plan to more each year. We’re both hitting that 60 mark so we don’t do a whole lot at once but it all adds up over time.
